I usually avoid the midday sun but the fog at the mouth of the bay created such a peaceful glow on the horizon. The breeze through the eucalyptus trees was so refreshing. The tide was low and the waves lapped lightly against the rocky shore. I could’ve stayed there all day…
I’ve never seen the tide so high here.
I volunteered in the visitor’s center and monarch grove this morning before enjoying the beach with Phoebe. What a warm day.
Phoebe and I climbed this tree. I was wearing new knee-high boots and a new sweater dress bought with some Christmas money, so I didn’t want to get dirty but also couldn’t resist myself. No one was around and this tree just needed to be climbed.
This spot is really nice. It overlooks the beach on a hillside and there are lots of tables beneath twisted, beautiful trees.
The beach was pretty empty this morning because we arrived rather early at 9am. Phoebe and I just wanted to listen to the waves for a bit.
